So you think your baby’s all Twitter -ready with that Kickbee while chilling in the womb? Nah, only practice makes perfect, so the folks at Belgium’s Hasselt University came up with the Twoddler: a hacked Fisher-Price activity board with buttons linked to predefined Twitter messages. Obsessive parents can put photos of themselves on the buttons, so that whenever those buttons are hit the Twoddler tweets something like “@mommy I miss you.” We like this idea, but then again you’ll never know if it’s just someone else’s kids bashing the buttons — you’ll still feel good anyway. Watch some Twoddler action after the break. It’s official: Windows 7 mania has reached a fever pitch. First a burger dedicated to the OS, now fifth-grader Will Smith gives us this adorable performance of ” Windows Rising ,” set to the tune of CCR’s “Bad Moon Rising.” According to the source, Will wants to program for Microsoft when he gets older. Let me tell you something, kid: If you show this video to anyone at Microsoft, there’s no way they won’t give you a job on the spot. And one other thing, Will: You do far more justice to your source material than the majority of CCR cover bands out there. Keep up the good work. [ TechFlash ]
Say hello to BLU-TOOTH, a handmade Bluetooth earpiece holder that’s probably as pointless as he is cute. Nom nom nom. As I write this, the one-of-a-kind critter with Velcro nose can still be picked up for $7. If you miss out, his pink SWEE-TOOTH friend may still be available for adoption. [ Etsy via GeekSugar ]

Some gadgets scream out for an adorability upgrade, like netbooks or Roombas. Headphone splitters aren’t exactly one of them, but Splitterbot is too cute to deny. As much as there’s nothing more adorable than sharing one pair of earbuds, one bud per person, sometimes you just gotta have the full stereo. Splitterbot is here to keep the cuteness factor up while retaining superior sound quality. You have to pop his head off to reveal the audio-in jack, and then the two pairs of ‘phones are plugged directly into the little guy’s eyes.
The RilakKuma is what’s known in the business as a money-printing device. It might have the same spec — Atom N270, 1GB memory and 160GB storage — as every netbook since the time of Moses, but its killer feature is a set of eyes and whiskers painted on the lid. Having once already cashed in on popular children’s characters, Bandai is clearly not shy about exploiting its intellectual assets in peddling outdated 8.9-inch 1024×600 displays to the undemanding youth. Only 500 units will be produced, making this a pretty exclusive item and the price is unsurprisingly steep:
This gallery full of baby geeks playing with computers not only makes me smile and go all “ooooooh” and “aaaaaaah.” Watching them is actually getting me go into sugar-induced diabetic coma. You are looking at the future of the Internet, people—because, at one point, we all will be surfing the web in our diapers. [ Geeks Are Sexy ]
Hey, we started a Gizmodo Flickr pool , to make it easier for you to send us photos you think could make for an interesting post. Have the urge to really ruin the resale value of a diamond? Here’s one way—permanently embed a hi-res grayscale photograph of yourself in it. A company called DiamondPure takes any photograph you want and then, using a “revolutionary” nano-photograph process, etches the visage into any size diamond you want. Though they’re normally invisible, you can view them using GemmaView, a proprietary portable viewing device. Cute, right
“Once upon a time, she loved me. I remember when I helped with her photos, took care of her music, edited movies together. And now… now she left me here, in the coldness of NYC.” Oh poor you, you sad Macintosh you. You were left to dream the eternal slumber on the streets of the city that never sleeps. Here you you are, all alone, out of your old happy, cozy home, freezing under the cold night, alone, with no purpose or meaning whatsoever
